A notification of the funeral procession for Lt. General Harold (Hal) Moore.
Route:
The funeral procession will travel from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Auburn after a full Catholic mass which begins at 8:30 a.m. Around 10 a.m., the procession will begin down North College to Highway 280. It will continue Hwy 280 through Gateway Drive in Opelika and get on the interstate at the Tiger Town Exit. It will then travel I-85 Northbound to Exit 62 and take Columbus Parkway/Hwy. 280 East towards Columbus.
Please be aware that there will be traffic delays in these areas. At times, traffic will be stopped so that the funeral procession can move through without problems. We ask that citizens be patient and respectful as Lt. General Hal Moore is transported to Columbus.
