As of today's date, March 17, 2020 the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is suspending the issuance of Pistol Permits until April 6th, 2020. Upon careful consideration, Sheriff Lockhart believes this necessary to reduce exposure to COVID-19. Sheriff Lockhart further requests all Law Enforcement Agencies continue to honor any Chambers County Pistol Permit that expires between March 16th, 2020 and April 6th, 2020. Sheriff Lockhart recommends you take a picture of this post and show it to any Law Enforcement Officer inquiring about your expired Pistol Permit.
