Opelika Police Department is reporting an accident at Cunningham Drive and the CSX Railroad crossing. A train collided with a piece of heavy construction equipment that was in use. The driver of the construction equipment is being airlifted. Condition unknown at this time. OPD is asking that you avoid the area. Cunningham Road will be blocked for several hours. OPD will update when the road is clear for through traffic.
