Auburn Football

I read a lot over the weekend about Auburn and Ole Miss not getting picked for the CBS game at 2:30, but that didn't come as a surprise to me.  If you didn't know CBS gets first pick of the SEC games, and they were considering the Auburn/Ole Miss game among others, but instead chose UT/UGA.  The Auburn game was actually dropped all the way down to an ESPNU game, meaning ESPN, ESPN2 passed as well.  Now I am no expert but I can simply say a lot has to due with the fact that I can't remember Jordan-Hare Stadium being full.  It's been a while since the Upper Deck corners were filled in.  You have to go back to the UGA game in 2010, or maybe Alabama in 2011.  Needless to say Auburn fans need to remember it's a "New Day" and get into the seats this Saturday!

Who is Ready for High School Football?

I absolutely love High School Football.  The thought of playing in the championship game motivates these kids through these brutal 95 degree practices here in August.  Opelika was very fortunate to make it to their first Championship game this past season.  I loved being a volunteer for the Super 6 at Jordan Hare.  This year the road is to Tuscasloosa for all the AHSAA teams.  Good Luck!
Here is a little motivation.  Hopefully your team will appear on the big screen in December!

Bad Press for Auburn PD

Wow!  Before we all jump to conclusions lets remember, this is just one side of the story.  The Auburn Police Department in the past few years have done some remarkable work, including some very high profile murder cases.  We will see where the story goes from here.  I am sure we will get a statement form the Auburn PD soon.

Bikini Season!

I was recently on a trip to Key West.  We had a great time while visiting.  As you may guess, it was HOT!  I am not sure if this led to what we saw, or it was just that many people are very secure with their bodies.  People around our area are a lot more self conscious, I can say for sure.  We even saw a woman walking topless down the public beach, and last time I checked it didn't say topless beach!  Hey none of the guys were complaining though!  Here is some interesting numbers abut beachwear from a recent survey....

A new survey by Fitness magazine reveals that 25% of women don't trust anyone to tell them honestly if a swimsuit looks good on them. Other findings:

- 36% of women would turn Justin Timberlake down if he invited them to a beach party because they don't feel they are in good enough shape

- 40% of women like flaunting their cleavage

- 20% of women are open to going to a nude beach

- 43% of women would give up Facebook for a model's body

- 23% of women would give up their phone for a year for a model's body

- 80% of women would rather be a toned size 10 than a size 2 with no muscles
